At Penfold’s we foster a mum and pop corporate culture. We have a relaxed work atmosphere where jeans are our norm, but we take what we do very seriously. With well over 100 corporate employees and 25 Sub Trades, we provide more than just a job and a wage. We provide our employee’s with a career! From fully funded continuing education programs, wellness programs, office massages, yoga classes, healthy eating programs, birthday celebrations and flex hours.
Aside from your basic roofing company we take pride in our “going green” value chain. We provide all of our customers with green roofing options and renewable energy services. We hold frequent informational sessions and educate our community on solar energy, encourage our vendors to go green and have fully equipped company vehicles powered by propane. Did we mention our new Corporate Head office is powered by solar panels!
At Penfold’s we provide to our community! In late 2017 and early 2018 we created 7 new full-time office positions. We volunteer at the UBC Gardens, Ronald McDonald House and participate in the Annual Shoreline Cleanup.
Our Safety Program is COR Certified through the BC Construction Safety Association to determine hazards and prevent injuries. 1 out of every 3 employee’s hold a valid first aid certificate and our supervisors attend frequent safety training sessions!

Penfolds Roofing & Solar was established by Mr. Penn in 1937, and in 1990 it was purchased by our current Advisor, Ken Mayhew. Ken has not only maintained Penfolds’ position as the lower mainland’s largest residential re-roofer but is continually looking to the horizon for new innovative products, like the addition of roof-top solar, that drives the company forward into the future. Ken shares the core values of his predecessors and believes that the only way to build a successful company is by building the Penfolds family through trust, integrity and quality, which has been our founding values all these years.
Shaun Mayhew

Shaun has been a part of the Penfolds team for as long as he can remember. From delivering door knockers as a young child to leading our Sales and Marketing teams today, he has proven to be an integral part of the business. Prior to taking a full-time position with Penfolds in 2004, Shaun completed his schooling at BCIT in Sales & Marketing Management. He is passionate about helping build a team of Technical Advisors that are successful, trustworthy and knowledgeable. When he is not in the office you can find him on the local mountains skiing, playing volleyball or spending quality time with his family.

Marcus Milde
Director of Finance Penfolds Roofing & Solar
Marcus has been with Penfolds since 2013 and brings over 20 years’ experience in accounting services working in public practice and for companies large and small. Marcus is the backbone of the accounting department and as the Director of Finance has fostered a positive attitude and developed a structure of continuous development and first-rate service from the accounting team. Outside the office, Marcus is a devoted Outrigger Canoe Racer which has taken him to exciting destinations to race around the world.
