This project was a perfect example of how roofing and solar can come together for a long-lasting and energy-efficient solution. The homeowner chose our Cedar Twin asphalt roof with twenty solar panels installed on top. The job took about five days to complete.
One of the challenges with this home was rerouting two bathroom and kitchen vents. Originally, they were venting through the soffit, which risked pushing damp air back into the attic. Our crew carefully re-routed them through the roof to meet B.C. building code while still leaving enough space for the solar panels.
During the shingle removal, we discovered sections of damaged plywood from the old roof. The homeowner was quickly notified and approved the replacement, ensuring a solid base for the new installation.
The homeowner was engaged throughout the process and was thrilled with the final look. This new Cedar Twin roof, paired with solar panels, not only provides lasting protection but also adds renewable energy benefits to the home.
